For over 20 years, The Markiewicz Community Centre has served the needs of the people of lower Ballyfermot. We pride ourselves on being able to provide education to suit the needs of everyone in the area. We are a development centre that caters for senior citisens groups and have a wide range of activities that are both entertaining and engaging. We also provide an affordable childcare service for parents returning to education or low paid employment.

About Us

We have a wide range of courses that are accreditted by The City of Dublin Education and Training Board (CDETB) - who are the largest provider of training in the state.

These courses range from Personal Devlopment, First Aid, Manual handling to Medical terminology, Reception Skills and many more.

We are constanly updating existing courses and adding new courses to suit the needs of the people in our community and create opportunities to upskill with a view to gaining meaningful employment.

Medical Terminology

Learn about the language of medical terminology for use in medical environments such as hospitals and GP receptions

Reception Skills

Learn the skills required for front of house and gain qualifications needed for employment as a receptionist.
